Tenuta Margherita has been producing extra-fine rice in the Vercelli area of Italy for over a century.

The company looks after the entire production chain; from the cultivation of grains in the paddy field, to the processing in the rice mill that is performed with stone husking machines. Thanks to this procedure, the transformation of raw wholegrain rice to white rice keeps its’ amber color, firmness, and even surface.

Arborio rice is a well-known variety of Italian extra-fine rice, appreciated for its qualities. It has big pearly grains that absorb a lot of water during cooking. During the process, the grains’ exterior cooks evenly, while the internal layers of the grain stays al dente.

Thanks to its high rate of starch, Arborio rice is the ideal starter for the creamiest risotto. However, it can also be used in all rice dishes.
